Coach Hartung Participates in Ukrop's 10k
Goucher College track & field assistant coach, Tim Hartung, participated in the 2017 Ukrop?s Monument Avenue 10k on Saturday ? placing 10th out of 21,948 finishers.
RICHMOND, Va. – Goucher College track & field assistant coach, Tim Hartung, participated in the 2017 Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k on Saturday – placing 10th out of 21,948 finishers.
Hartung, a 2014 graduate of York College, posted a time of 31:41 in the race and maintained a 5:06/mile pace. The graduate assistant from Owings Mills, Md. participated in the Men's Open Collegiate division during the race, placing seventh within the age group.
Hartung's list of accomplishments is unsurpassed in the history of York College and the Capital Athletic Conference. He was a seven-time NCAA Division III All-American (twice in cross country, twice in indoor track and field, and three times in outdoor track and field), a five-time All-Capital Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year, a three-time Capital Athletic Conference men's cross country champion, a 16-time Capital Athletic Conference track and field (indoor and outdoor) champion, and a two-time national Capital One Academic All-America.
Hartung and the Gophers head to Messiah College on April 8th to participate in the Messiah College Invitational.
