Radgowski, Bent Earn Blue Ribbons in Intermediate Division

POOLESVILLE, Md. — Five Goucher riders came away with blue ribbons for first-place performances at today's IHSA Zone IV Region I riding show at Tulip Pond Farm that was hosted by George Washington.
The Gophers were particularly formidable in the intermediate division where Alison Radgowski (Northport, N.Y./Northport) took first place in the flat phase and Ashley Bent (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) did the same in the jumping phase. Joey Fink (Baltimore, Md./The Park School) was awarded first place in open equitation on the flat and was declared the show's reserve high point rider.
Laura Malone (Weston, Mass./Weston) picked up a red ribbon for placing second in novice fences.
Goucher's remaining first-place performances came from Kaduk Sherpa (East Aurora, N.Y./The Park School) in advanced walk-trot-canter equitation and Kaili Janette (New Haven, Conn./Hebrew High School of New England) in walk-trot.
The Gophers earned 43 points at today's show, bumping their season total to 135, which gives them a 45-point lead over George Washington in the Zone IV Region I standings.
