Goucher Riders Claim Both High Point, Reserve High Point Rider Honors

BALTIMORE, MD - The regular-season horse show for the Gophers ended in a ride-off without stirrups for High Point Rider between two of its own competitors, senior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md.) and first-year Sarah Edmunds (Lancaster, Pa.)
Hundley won both Open flat and Open fences for the fourth consecutive show, and Edmunds won Intermediate flat and Open fences. Hundley was awarded High Point rider honors at the conclusion of the test.
Other first place performances came from senior Kyle Kihn (Boulder, Co.) in walk trot, and first years Isabella Marini and Rachel Stockslager (New Freedom, Pa.) in Beginning Walk Trot Canter and Novice flat, respectively.
Second place finishes came from sophomore Rena DiPaula (Westminster, Md.) in Novice flat and first-year Adeline Callihan (Keene, N.H.) in Advanced Walk Trot Canter.
The Gophers were awarded High Point College Honors again today with 41 points, lengthening their lead in the Zone IV Region I standings to 51 points.
Goucher competes again on Sunday, November 5th on the second day of the George Mason/George Washington double-header at River Chase Farm in Aldie, VA.
