TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Catholic University tallied a goal in each half to record a 2-0 Landmark Conference field hockey win over Goucher College at Beldon Field Wednesday evening.
- Goucher (1-10, 0-4) generated the game's first penalty corner 4:27 in.
- Daryn Carter (Dover, Pa. / Dover Area) had a shot off the corner that was saved by Catholic (5-8, 4-0) goalie Maeve McCarthy.
- The Cardinals put back-to-back shots on goal in the sixth minute that were both saved by Gopher goalie Devin Brashear (Escondido, Calif. / San Pasqual).
- Catholic took a 1-0 lead at the end of the period on an untimed penalty corner, with Liv Canterino scoring.
- Goucher generated a penalty corner midway through the second quarter.
- Catholic had four penalty corners in a span of 1:15 with just under five minutes to go, with one shot by Julia Scanlon getting saved by Brashear.
- Canterino put a shot on goal in the final minute that was turned aside by Brashear.
