Bloom, Bucci Earn Landmark All-Conference Field Hockey Honors
TOWSON, Md. - Junior Kaitlyn Bucci and first year Katie Bloom of the Goucher College field hockey team were each named Landmark Conference Second Team All-Conference as the league announced its All-Conference teams Tuesday afternoon. It marks the first time the Gophers have had a pair of All-Conference honorees since the 2017 season.
Bloom started all 17 games for Goucher in goal and played every minute in goal, compiling a 2.09 goals-against average, .803 save percentage and recording 147 saves. Bloom recorded at least 10 saves on eight occasions and posted three shutouts. In Landmark Conference play, she set a conference record with 104 saves over nine contests. Bloom's .803 save percentage is first in the Landmark Conference and No. 24 nationally, while her 2.09 GAA ranks sixth in the league.
Bucci, in her first season at Goucher, was named a Second Team midfielder. She started all but one game and led the Gophers in scoring with seven goals and a pair of assists. Bucci's 14 points were the most by a Goucher player since 2019.
Goucher, under first year head coach E.A. Jackson, improved its win total by five in 2023, posting a 7-10 overall record.
