Bio

Lovell Kosh returns for his fourth season assisting the men’s basketball program in 2014-15. Kosh, who has worked with all aspects of the program since his two-year playing career with the Gophers ended in 2011, will serve as Goucher’s strength and conditioning coach this winter.

In his current capacity, Kosh has created the team’s strength, conditioning and nutrition plans for the upcoming season. He has designed similar plans for Goucher’s women’s soccer and women’s basketball programs, as well as CCBC-Dundalk’s men’s basketball team. Kosh recently received his strength and conditioning certification from the International Sports Science Association.

In addition to his local experience, Kosh has shared his training expertise across the globe, working this past summer as the strength and conditioning coach for Club Internacional de Tenis, a prestigious tennis club located in Madrid, Spain. Kosh was also personally chosen by Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in 2013 to serve as the lead fitness instructor during the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge last September.

A former track and field standout who maintains the Goucher school records in shot put (indoor) and the hammer throw (outdoor), Kosh continues to work as the program’s head thrower’s coach. He additionally works as a gym teacher at St. Elizabeth School, a special education school located in Baltimore.

Kosh received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Goucher in 2012. A native of Chester, Pa., he currently resides in Parkville.
