Yue Leads Gophers to Third Place Finish at Elizabethtown
HERSHEY, Pa. - The Goucher College men's golf team finished third out of 14 teams competing at the Elizabethtown Spring Invite Thursday afternoon at Hershey Country Club East. The Gophers finished with a score of 327 to only trail Moravian (317) and Scranton (320).
Evan Yue (Beijing, China/IMG Academy) finished tied for seventh overall with a eight-over 79. Yue finished four shots behind Sam Elsen of Albright and Jacob Haberstumpf of Moravian.
Andy Garcia (A Coruña Galicia, Spain / Colegio Plurilingüe Compañia de María) carded an 81 to finish tied for 12th overall. Khai Buttner (Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) shot 83 and placed tied for 18th in the 72-player field.
Miguel Reider (Mexico City, Mexico / Tecnológico de Monterrey) (84) and Tim Winter (Howey In The Hills, Groningen / Harens Lyceum) (86) rounded out the Gopher finishers.
Goucher is back in action April 10-11 when it competes in Swarthmore's DuPont Invitational at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
