Mikolaj Pula Records Hole-In-One, Men's Golf Opens at The Gauntlet
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Goucher College men's golf sophomore Mikolaj Pula posted the program's first-ever hole-in-one Sunday as the Gophers opened the 2024-25 season in the first round of The Gauntlet at Bucknell Golf Club. After the first round, the Gophers sit 11th in the strong 14-team field after carding a 303.
Pula aced the par-3, 170-yard 13th hole as part of a round of 75 on the par-70 circuit. It marks the first hole-in-one for the Gopher men's golf program that began play in 2017-18. Pula's 75 places him tied for 35th in a field of 75.
Junior Andy Hill Garcia led Goucher with a four-over 74, posting four birdies, including three straight on holes 3-5. Garcia is tied for 28th, 10 shots behind leader Roy Anderson of Franklin & Marshall who carded a 64.
Sophomore Tyler Lynch registered a 76 on the day, with Riley Ruby posting a round of 78. Gidi Katz rounded out the Goucher squad with a score of 83.
Goucher competes in the second and final round of The Gauntlet on Monday.
