- Sixth-ranked Gettysburg College defeated Goucher College in the men's lacrosse season opener for the Gophers on Tuesday.
- Matt Woodson paced the Gophers with a goal and an assist. The junior, who led the team with 27 assists and 43 points in 2018, now has 25 tallies and 32 assists for 56 points in his career.
- Jeremy Buckler, Zephan Harnish, Grant LaSorda, Jimmy Russo and Andrew Sade each found the twine for the Gophers.
- Harnish fueled the squad with 27 goals last season and now has 43 tallies for his career. Sade, who ranked second on the team last year with 25 goals, notched his 32nd career tally. LaSorda registered 14 goals last season and now has 23 markers in his career. Buckler registered his ninth career goal while Russo notched his third career goal after scoring a tally in each of his last two campaigns.
- Woodson paced the team with four ground balls and a caused turnover while Justin Lugo and Stephen Carpenter each added three ground balls and a caused turnover.
