Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Team Announced
BALTIMORE, Md. - After a week of online voting that produced the third highest number of votes, Goucher Athletics has announced the Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Team. We would like to thank everyone that voted! Congratulations to the members of the 2010s Goucher College Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Team.
To be eligible for the All-Decade Team, a student-athlete must have competed for at least one season between the 2010 and 2019 seasons. They also must be a graduate or still enrolled at Goucher College. In addition, only the statistics during the years of 2010 and 2019 are eligible so statistics that occur before the year 2010 or after the year 2019 do not count toward the All-Decade team vote.
We have now moved past 3,000 votes for our all-decade teams vote. We will take next week to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, but will return on Monday, November 30 with voting for the 2010s All-Decade Teams for men's and women's cross country and track and field. We have completed 12 all-decade team votes and you can check out those team results HERE.
The 2010s Men's Lacrosse All-Decade team includes two Goucher Athletic Hall of Famers, six players that received USILA Division III All-America status and earned 21 All-Landmark Conference honors (15 first team, six second team). In addition, 12 of the 13 players named to the team helped the Gophers to at least one Landmark Conference Championship in their time in Baltimore.

ATTACK
Averett, an Ivyland, Pa., native, donned the Blue in Gold for the first three years of the 2010s decade in the greatest offensive era of the Gophers men's lacrosse team. Averett, Boncaro and Lynch combined for over 700 points in their time in Baltimore. Averett earned three All-Landmark Conference honors in the decade with spots on the first team in 2011 and 2012 while also receiving an USILA Division III All-America honorable mention in his senior year. He posted 154 goals an 39 assists for 193 points in his three seasons in the decade while finishing his career as the program leader with 190 goals and ranking second with 236 points thanks to also dishing out 46 assists in his four-year career.
Boncaro, a Geneva, N.Y., native, earned all-conference recognition three times in the decade with spots on the top team in 2010 and 2011 while joining Averett as an USILA Division III All-America honorable mention in his senior season. Boncaro posted 126 goals and 84 assists for 210 points in the decade and finished his career as the program's career all-time leader with 119 assists and 273 points while ranking second to Averett with 154 goals in his four-year career. In his senior year, the 2009 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year notched a single-season program-record 58 goals and 86 points.
Morgan, a Wilmot, N.H., native, joined Averett and Boncaro in 2012 and finished his career with Goucher in 2015. Morgan, who is one of five players to post 100 points in the decade, finished his career with 70 goals and 47 assists for 117 points. He was named to the All-Landmark Conference first team as a junior and to the second team in his senior season. Morgan posted a career-best 27 goals and 13 assists for 40 points along with 32 ground balls in his junior campaign.
MIDFIELD
Jacob Fratella, a Wilmington, Del., native, played his senior season in 2010 and appeared in 17 games including 16 starts. He registered a personal-best 17 goals and eight assists for 25 points in that season to earn All-Landmark Conference second-team honors. Jacob Fratella finished his career with 38 goals and 18 assists for 56 points along with 79 ground balls.
Jacob's brother Zachary Fratella also hails from Wilmington, Del., and played for the Blue and Gold from 2011 to 2014 and appeared in 53 games including 52 starts. Zachary just missed finishing his career with 100 points after registering 71 goals and 28 assists for 99 points. Zachary was named to the all-conference second team in his final two seasons. He registered a career-best 28 markers and 12 assists for 40 points in 2011, and notched a career-high 37 ground balls in 2012.
Ingram, an Austin, Texas, native, appeared in 66 games including 58 starts from 2011 to 2014 for the Gophers. He was named an USILA Division III All-America honorable mention in his senior year while also nabbing All-Landmark Conference first-team honors in his final two years. Ingram finished his four seasons in Baltimore with 79 goals and 21 assists for 100 points. Ingram had his best season in a Goucher uniform in his junior year with 26 goals and 10 assists for 36 points along with 36 ground balls.
Lynch, an Ivyland, Pa., native, is one of two players on this team that is a member of the Goucher Athletics Hall of Fame and is the only player in program history to earn an USILA Division III All-America third-team recognition. He also earned honorable mention nods in 2010 and 2011 to join another Goucher Hall of Famer, Reeves Craig, as the only three-time All-American. Lynch played during the same four seasons as Averett and Boncaro and earned All-Landmark Conference first-team honors in his three seasons in the decade. He ranks fourth in program history with 220 career points and dished out a program-record 39 assists in his senior year.
DEFENSE
Carson, a Wyomissing, Pa., native, joined the team in 2010 and played four seasons in the Goucher defense before his collegiate career ended in 2013. A two All-Landmark Conference performer including a first-team nod in his senior year, Carson registered 175 ground balls and 99 caused turnovers in 71 games and 53 starts during his four seasons with his caused turnover total ranking fourth in program history. He registered 60 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers in his senior year.
Cost, a Berwyn, Pa., native, appeared in 48 games including 24 starts for the Gophers defense from 2015 to 2018. He registered 60 ground balls and 48 caused turnovers in his career and earned an all-conference second-team nod in 2018. Cost notched career highs in games (17), starts (16), ground balls (24) and caused turnovers (31) in his senior campaign.
Dunn, a Denver, Colo., native, joins Lynch as the other Goucher Athletic Hall of Famer from the decade and was named an USILA Division III All-America honorable mention in 2010. Dunn earned All-Landmark Conference first team honors in his only two seasons in the decade (2010, 2011) and registered 123 ground balls and 105 caused turnovers in those campaigns. He recorded seven caused turnovers in a game four times in his career, holds the caused turnover single-season program record (59, 2010) and is the all-time leader in career caused turnovers (140).
Jadin, a Chanhassen, Minn., native, earned all-conference first-team honors for his one season with the Blue and Gold in the decade. He appeared in 18 games and tallied a career-high 68 ground balls and 37 caused turnovers in that season. Jadin finished his career with 233 ground balls and 68 caused turnovers with 2010 being the first season for the caused turnover statistic.
FACE-OFF SPECIALIST
Just like Jacob Fratella and Jadin, LaBricciossa made his presence known in his one season in the decade. He went 171-for-339 in the circle for a 50.9 percentage. He played in all 18 games that season and added 55 ground balls and four caused turnovers that season. LaBricciossa, a Downingtown, Pa., native finished his career ranking second with 400 face-off wins.
GOALKEEPER
Mishaw, a Wilmington, Del., native, is one of six players to earn USILA Division III All-America honorable mention honors with his distinction coming in 2013. He earned all-conference first-team nods in his final two campaigns and finished his career ranking third in program history in save percentage (60.9), third in goals against average (7.31) and fourth in saves (600). Mishaw appeared in 60 contests with 52 starts and played the most minutes in between the pipes in the decade with 3159.40. He registered 186 saves, a 9.17 goals against average and a 57.1 save percentage in 916:14 minutes in his All-America season.
During the 2010s decade, the Gophers won Landmark Conference championships in 2010 and 2012. Averett, Boncaro, Carson, Lynch and Mishaw were a member of both championship teams while Dunn, Jacob Fratella, Jadin and LaBricciossa helped the team to the school's first conference title in Landmark Conference history in 2010. Zachary Fratella, Ingram and Morgan joined Averett, Boncaro, Lynch and Mishaw in the best season in program history with an 18-2 record and a win the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2012.
