Gophers Dig Out 8-7 Win Over Curry

TOWSON, Md. - Dylan White's goal with 4:49 remaining broke a 7-7 tie and lifted Goucher College to an 8-7 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over Curry College Tuesday evening at Beldon Field.
- Curry (2-6) scored three times in a 2:38 span to build a 3-0 lead 6:04 into the game.
- Goucher (5-2) got on the board with 8:26 left in the first quarter as James Dugan scored on a pass from Jack McDermott.
- Tyler May pulled the Gophers within 3-2 with his unassisted goal at the 6:35 mark.
- The Colonels scored with 1:33 left in the quarter to take a 4-2 lead.
- Dom Cerone's third goal of the game put the guests up 5-2 9:59 before halftime.
- Jacob Morgan scored off a May assist at the 7:07 mark to make it 5-3.
- The Colonels scored with 4:23 on the clock to make it a 6-3 game.
- Goals by May at 2:51 and Theo Cook IV with 1:23 left cut the lead to 6-5 at intermission.
- McDermott tied the game with 6:31 remaining in the third quarter, with Morgan assisting.
- The Colonels reclaimed the lead on a Connor Bryant goal with 2:14 left in the quarter.
- A Morgan tally just over three minutes into the final frame tied the game 7-7.
- White's game winner came off a Curry turnover. A ball was thrown away by a Colonel attacker to midfield, where White scooped it up at the midfield line. He raced in and beat Curry goalie Liam O'Neill one-on-one for the eventual game-winner.
