There, sophomore Zach Brumbalow (Eldersburg, Md.) scored his second goal of the 2018 season to give Goucher a 1-0 lead. Two players were credited with assists on the play, as first-year Jack Tchantchuing-Ngoko (Silver Spring, Md.) played a pass to senior Dalen Thompson (Maplewood, N.H.), who dished it off to Brumbalo for the scoring chance.
A mere minute and four seconds later, the Gophers scored again. This time, first-year Nick Haines (Taneytown, Md.) got in on the act, scoring an unassisted goal off a deflected Wilson team save to give Goucher a 2-0 lead into intermission.

From there, the Goucher defense preserved the shutout, as senior Daniel Hendry (Lewisburg, Pa.) earned his first shutout win of the year after making five saves on the evening (three in the first half and two in the second).
