BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College lost to Neumann University in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday.
Cole Judkins (Norwalk, Conn,/Norwalk) paced the Gophers with three saves while Xavier Dever (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown), Matthew Malhenzie (Etters, Pa./Red Land) and Isaiah Perry (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) each registered shots on goal in the loss.
The trio had their scoring chances in the first half stopped by the Knights netminder. Dever had his shot stopped at the 19th minute, Perry in the 23rd minute and Malhenzie in the 32nd minute.
Ellis Carmelich (Bristol, Conn./Bistol) and Joe Simon (Milburn, N.J./Milburn) made their collegiate debut in the contest.
Neumann scored twice in the first half and once in the second half for a 3-0 win.
Goucher returns to action on Wednesday at home against Cairn. Match time is 7 p.m.
