WASHINGTON, D.C. – Goucher College lost to nationally-ranked Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference men's soccer action on Wednesday.
Joe May (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) made five saves in the loss. The freshman leads the team with 46 saves on the year in 825:53 minutes of action.
Matthew Malhenzie (Etters, Pa./Red Land) and Isaiah Perry (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) each had a shot for the Gophers in the loss. Perry missed high in the eighth minute and Malhenzie had his shot blocked in the ninth minute.
Catholic scored twice in the first half and once in the second half to earn a 3-0 win.
Goucher returns to action on Saturday at home against Elizabethtown College for Senior Day. Match time is 1 p.m. The Gophers will honor seniors Brandon Cohen (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) and Dan Laurilliard (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) before the match.
