Goucher Swimming Heads To Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships This Weekend
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College men's and women's swimming team heads to the Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at the Germantown Swim Center in Germantown, Md., this weekend.
All-Day Passes and Single-Session will be sold at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center. All-Day Passes are $20 for adults, $10 for minors (ages 10-17) while youth (under 10) are free. Single-session passes are $12 for adults, $6 for minors and free for youths. All-Day Passes and Single-Session passes can only be purchased for the day and are good for morning and evening sessions.
If fans are unable to attend the championships, the Landmark Conference is providing live swim results and video.
Hugh MacConvery (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) holds the top standings for the men's team going into the championships with the 11th-best time in the 400 IM (4:41.98) and in the 200 fly (2:08.39). He also posted Top-30 times in the 200 breast (21st, 2:34.99) and the 200 IM (25th, 2:17.57).
Ryan Freeburg (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and Jackson Penner (Newille, Pa./Big Spring) each have Top-20 times with Freeburg in the 100 breast (17th, 1:06.64) and the 200 breast (17th, 2:30.99) while Penner has times in the 200 free (17th, 1:57.12) and the 100 free (18th, 51.70).
Liam McDonald (Los Altos, Calif./St. Francis) and Andrew Ackerman (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) rank in the Top-30 going into the meet in the 100 fly (23rd, 1:25.69) and the 200 free (26th, 2:07.04), respectively.
On the women's side, Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md./Homeschooled) leads the way with Top-30 standings in the 100 free (21, 58.38) and the 100 fly (22nd, 1:07.06) while Katie Shannon (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Louisville) comes into the weekend in the Top-30 in the 200 fly (24th, 2:40.89) and the 200 free (28th, 2:10.56) while Zoe Brown (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School) also ranks in the Top-30 in the 400 IM (27th, 6:10.70).
Preliminaries take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the finals are at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday before starting an hour earlier on Sunday at 5 p.m.
