Goucher Men Lose Two Tough Matches on The Road
EWING TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY - The Goucher men's tennis team lost two matches to Colby and The College of New Jersey 7-2 and 9-0 this weekend in an early spring overnight trip.

EWING TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY - The Goucher men's tennis team lost two matches to Colby and #39 The College of New Jersey, 7-2 and 9-0, respectively this weekend in an early spring overnight trip.
How it happened:
- Freshman Slade Dumas (Great Falls, VA) and Midori Fujitani (Tokyo, Japan) won both of their singles matches versus #14 (northeast) regionally ranked Colby after winning in the third set 10-8 and 10-3, earning Goucher's two points on the weekend.
- Freshman Michael Herman (Prague, Czech Republic) and Sophomore Elliot Diehl (York, PA) played a close match against Cam Hiller and Shaw Speer in second doubles, but eventually fell 8-7.
- Junior Jack Hodges (London, England) played battled against Colby's Carl Reid, winning the first set 6-4, but fell 1-6 and 2-6 in the remaining sets.
- The Gophers were shutout against The College of New Jersey, 9-0.

The team travels next to Hilton Head, SC to play Indiana East, Endicott, and Millsaps over three days, starting on March 15th.
