When Michael Vann took over as head coach midway through the 2005-06 season, he quickly set out to try and re-establish Goucher’s men’s tennis team as one of the top Division III programs in the Atlantic South Region. And as he enters his fourth season with the Gophers, it appears as though he is on the verge of accomplishing that goal.

Prior to joining Goucher’s staff, Vann was an assistant coach on the nationally ranked Division III men’s and women’s teams at Kenyon College. He also had coached at Bucknell University and the University of Alabama, his alma mater.

In 2008-09, Vann will remain on the ITA Awards committee for the Atlantic South Region and serve as men’s chair for the Landmark Conference tennis committee.
