Negreann Meets Requirements for All-Academic Honor
NEW ORLEANS, La. — Goucher's Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) was recognized today as a 2010 Division III All-Academic Cross Country honoree by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Goucher's Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) was recognized today as a 2010 Division III All-Academic Cross Country honoree by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The organization revealed a list a 142 male cross country runners representing 80 Division III institutions who earned Division III All-Academic status in 2010. To qualify, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through end of the fall semester and placed in the top 35 at his respective NCAA Division III regional chammpionship.
Negreann placed 32nd in a field of 316 runners at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on November 13, completing the 8,000-meter race in 26:06.8.
Negreann is the first male cross country runner from Goucher to qualify for All-Academic status since the USTFCCCA changed the standards prior to the 2001 season.
