Women's Cross Country/Track & Field All-Decade Team Announced
BALTIMORE, Md. - After a week of online voting, Goucher Athletics has announced the Women's Cross Country and Track & Field All-Decade Team. We would like to thank everyone that voted! Congratulations to the members of the 2010s Goucher College Women's Cross Country and Track & Field All-Decade Team.
To be eligible for the All-Decade Team, a student-athlete must have competed for at least one season between the 2010 and 2019 seasons. They also must be a graduate or still enrolled at Goucher College. In addition, only the statistics during the years of 2010 and 2019 are eligible so statistics that occur before the year 2010 or after the year 2019 do not count toward the All-Decade team vote.
We have completed 14 all-decade team votes and you can check out those team results HERE. We will wrap up the All-Decade votes with the Equestrian All-Decade vote starting on Monday and we look to cross the 3,500 votes threshold.

CROSS COUNTRY
Couraud, an East Lansing, Mich., native, earned a pair of All-Landmark Conference second-team nods for the cross country team from 2010 to 2013. She placed 13 in 2010 with a time of 24:39.70 and then finished 12 with a time of 26:41.00 the following season at the championships.
Myette, a Binghamton, N.Y., native, was a member of the harriers from 2010 to 2011 during the decade. She finished second as a junior with a time of 23:27.80 to earn all-conference first-team honors.
Palmer, a Nashville, Tenn., native, participated on the cross country team from 2013 to 2016. She notched her best standing in her freshman year after placing 55th while she notched a career-best time at the conference meet with a time of 28:11.27 in her senior campaign.
Walker, a Plymouth-Meeting, Pa., native, ran for the cross country team from 2010 to 2013 for the Blue and Gold. She recorded her best performance in her sophomore year at the championships with a 16th-place finish and a time of 26:05.50.
Zidanic, a York, Pa., native, finished in the Top-10 at the Landmark Conference Championships from 2010 to 2013 to earn three all-conference second-team honors. She finished 10th in both her sophomore and senior seasons while notched her best performance in her junior campaign after finishing ninth with a time of 24:38.30.
SPRINTS
Kellon, a Cleveland Heights, Ohio, native, may have been one of the best performers in the decade after earning nine medals at the indoor and outdoor championships including earn seven conference championships from 2009 to 2013. She won the 400m (1:03.01) as a freshman and again as a senior (59.65) during the indoor championships. She was a five-time conference champion during the outdoor championships with wins in the 400m hurdles in 2010 (1:05.14), 2011 (1:05.51) and 2012 (1:05.68) while also taking the 400m during the outdoor season in 2011 (59.32) and 2013 (1:03.79).
Smith, a Northampton, Mass., native, won six medals as a sprinter for the Gophers from 2012 to 2016 including earning four all-conference second-team honors. Smith earned three of those recognitions at the indoor championships after earning a silver medal in the 60m (8.15) as a freshman and 60m (7.98) and 200m (26.98) in her final season. She also medaled three times in the outdoor season including a second-place finish in the 200m (25.70) as a senior.
MIDDLE DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Couraud finished in the Top-5 four times and the Top-10 seven times at the Landmark Conference Championships from 2009 to 2013. She earned a bronze medal during the outdoor season in the 5000m (19:09.88) in 2010 and recorded her best finish during the indoor championships with a fourth-place finish in the mile run (5:31.54) that same season.
Walker posted four Top-10 finishes for the Gophers at the championships from 2010 to 2014. She finished ninth in the 800m (2:34.27) during the indoor championships and ninth (2:29.52) at the outdoor meet in 2011 for her best performances.
Zidanic finished in the Top-5 at the Landmark Conference Championships four times from 2010 to 2014 including earn one all-conference second-team nod. She earned a silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:49.47 during the 2012 outdoor event while she finished fifth in the 5000m (19:39.51) in 2013 during the indoor season for her best finish indoors.
JUMPS
Blazek, a New Orleans, La., native earned two medals in the decade from 2017 to 2019 in the pole vault including one all-conference second-team honor. She earned a bronze medal at the indoor championships in 2018 with a distance of 2.89m and then earned a silver medal as a junior with a mark of 3.04m. Blazek would break the school record and earn another all-conference second-team honor with a silver medal at the 2020 indoor championships to start the next decade.
Macaluso, a Huntington, N.Y., native, finished in the Top-7 four times in the long jump from 2009 to 2011 for the Blue and Gold. She placed fourth at the 2011 outdoor championships with a jump of 4.91m for her best finish outdoors while finishing fifth with a hop of 4.74m during the indoor season that same year.
THROWS
Cooney, a Holden, Mass., native, earned a medal and placed in the Top-10 at the championships nine times in the first two seasons in the decade. She earned a bronze medal as a senior in the hammer with a throw of 39.18m during the outdoor season while she placed in the Top-5 in all three events she competed in during her junior campaign. Her fourth-place finish in the weight throw (12.11m) marked her best standings at the indoor championships during the decade.
Gunter, a Laurel, Md., native, earned six medals, two conference championships and four-all-conference honors during her three seasons with the Blue and Gold from 2016 to 2019. During her senior season, Gunter won the shot put (11.47m) and placed second in the weight throw (14.30m) during the indoor championships and then overcame a near career-ending injury to win the discus (36.34m) and place second in the shot put (10.90m) on her home turf at the outdoor championships.
