Jacob Balot Named Cross Country/Track and Field Graduate Assistant
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College track and field and cross country head coach Erick Camodeca has named Jacob Balot as a graduate assistant for both programs beginning this fall. He will assist Camodeca and associate head coach J.T. Klopcic with the Gophers' men's and women's cross country and track and field programs.
Balot recently graduated from Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia where he was a standout for the Lions' track and cross country programs. At Piedmont, a Division III member, he was a five-time All-Conference performer, including a two-time USA South First Team member as a member of the 4x400 relay squad. Balot is a member of three school record relay teams in the 4x400, 4x800 and distance medley relay. A three-time USA South All-Academic Team member, he was a cross country captain as a senior and also named to the cross country All-Sportsmanship Team.
Last year Balot served as an assistant cross country and track and field coach at Tallulah Falls School in Tallulah Falls, Georgia.
Balot graduated from Piedmont in May, 2023 with a degree in Sport and Fitness Administration.
