Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw Advances to DIII 800m Finals

GENEVA, Ohio - Today marked day two of the 2025 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw was representing the Gophers today in the women's 800 meter. Going into the event she is the current leader in DIII with her time 2:05.28 from the Landmark Outdoor Championship. Thornton-Fillyaw advances to the final tomorrow after winning the second head with her run of 2:09.23 today.

The final takes place tomorrow at 3pm, where she races for the title.
