TOWSON, Md. - In their last home game of December, the Gophers welcomed the N.C. Wesleyan Battling Bishops and ultimately lost by a 22 point margin.
Despite the loss, freshman Anise Williams (West Palm Beach, Fla.) led all scorers in the contest and even reached a career-high 25 points. Williams also racked up two assists, the most on the team this matchup.
Senior Nicole Wolard (Tampa, Fla.) put up 10 points, the second highest after Williams, and tallied the most rebounds and steals. Wolard had 12 rebounds (eight defensive and four offensive), and three of the teams five steals.
With this loss, Goucher will fall to 4-5 on the season.
The Gophers will be back in action on December 29th at 2 PM as they travel to take on Manhattanville.
