Women's Basketball Takes a Loss Against Elizabethtown Despite an Impressive First Half, 81-48

Despite an impressive first half, where the Gophers were only down by one at its end, Goucher was unable to hold down a strong Elizabethtown team.
Senior Nicole Wolard (Tampa, Fla.) led the team with 14 points. Freshmen Anise Williams (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and Alayna McFadden (Silver Spring, Md.) put up 12 points apiece. Williams also managed 4 steals against the Blue Jays. McFadden was a team leader in the contest with rebounds, tallying 6. Jorryn Avery (Glen Burnie, Md.) played her most minutes of the year (29) and racked up 5 points and 3 assists.
The Gophers will be back in action on Saturday, January 12 at 2 PM as they travel to Drew University for another Landmark Conference contest.
