Pevey And Starchvick Continue To Lead Goucher Women's Golf In Final Tune-Up For Landmark Conference Championships
LAFAYETTE HILLS, Pa. – Christina Pevey (Post, Texas/Post) and Emmie Starchvick (Jacksonville, Ore./South Medford) finished tied for third to lead the Goucher women's golf team at the Jefferson Tri-Match No. 2 on Wednesday.
Pevey, the current Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, notched her third-straight round in the mid-80s in her final tune-up for the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday. The senior notched her second round of the season of 85 on Wednesday.
Starchvick recorded her second-straight mid-80s round after posting the low-round score of 85 in a dual meet with Catholic on Saturday. The senior carded a season-low round on Wednesday after registering the round of 86 against Catholic.
Emily Pochet (Royersford, Pa./Pennsylvania Leadership Academy) (13th place, 101) and Randi Marshall (La Quinta, Calif./Half Moon Bay) (14th place, 105) also competed for the Gophers.
Alvernia won the tri-meet with a score of 336, while Jefferson (350) and Goucher (376) rounded out the field. The Gophers round of 376 matched the team's low score of the season posted at Catholic.
Goucher returns to action at the Landmark Conference Women's Golf Championships at the Fox Hollow Country Club in Branchburg, N.J., on Saturday.
