WHITTIER, Calif. - The Goucher College Women's Lacrosse team (0-7 overall) fell in the first game of their Spring Break trip to Whittier College (2-6 overall), 21-14, at Memorial Stadium Monday afternoon.
How It Happened:
- Sophomore Gabrielle Umstead (Chadds Ford, Pa.) led the Gophers with five goals (out of seven shots), an assist and two ground balls. This marks Umsteads career-game high for goals, beating her previous record of three goals, which she scored against Medaille earlier this season.
- Sophomore midfielder Shannon Stull (Westminster, Md.) had four goals, four ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Sophomore Alyssa Long (Pennburg, Pa.) pitched in with three goals of her own.
- Both Long and Stull have scored in all seven games this season.
