TOWSON, Md. - Jane Levy (San Anselmo, CA/Sir Francis Drake) had a hand in four goals today, helping Goucher secure its second win of the season, a 7-0 triumph over Lancaster Bible.
Levy was awarded assists on goals by Jennifer Roche (Woolwich, ME/Lincoln Academy) at 9:12 and Sisley Pumilia (Chesterfield, NH/Keene) at 19:07 before scoring a goal of her own at 26:57 that provided the Gophers (2-3) with a 3-0 lead.
Dee Moser (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) extended Goucher's advantage to 4-0 when she tallied her team-leading fourth goal of the season at 59:71. Roche and Levy both scored their second goals of the contest later in the second half and Elizabeth Hoffman (Chesapeake Beach, MD/Calvert) closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal at 81:18.
Goucher unleashed a total of 30 shots in the victory, while the Chargers (3-2) were limited to six attempts the entire contest. By allowing no goals and making two saves, freshman goalkeeper Kellen Matthews (Northboro, MA/Algonquin Regional) of the Gophers raised her save percentage for the season to .797 and picked up the second shutout of her young career.
