Why did you choose Goucher College?
I chose Goucher because of the small class sizes and location near Baltimore.
How did Goucher College prepare you for the real world?
Goucher taught me how to contribute to difficult and important conversations that require a lot of critical thinking.
How did being a student-athlete help shape you into the person you are today?
Being a student-athlete taught me a lot about working hard and setting goals and also how to build strong relationships with the people you work with.
What was your most memorable experience at Goucher athletically?
My favorite memory as a Goucher Athlete is a tie between when we beat McDaniel and scoring a game winning PK in overtime my junior year.
What was your most non-athletic memorable experience at Goucher?
My favorite non-athletic memory was getting to present my research at the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) conference in NYC. It was also a great experience being able to meet Bill Nye at graduation (picture below)
What advice would you give current college students interested in pursuing a career in your field?
Self care!! Clients need you to be ready for them but that only happens if you take of yourself first.
Looking back at your time at the Goucher, what advice would you give to current Goucher students or someone looking to come to the Goucher?
Looking back now, I would tell Goucher students to enjoy every single moment because it goes by so fast. And to trust and believe in yourself because if you do that, the sky's the limit in what you can accomplish!
Give an update on what you have been up to since graduating from the Goucher College:
I am halfway through a Clinical Psychology Master's program. Right now I am working on my master's thesis and am interning at a counseling center where I provide therapy to my own clients.
