Williams Makes Program's Top 10 List in Two Events

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Laura Williams (Verona, N.J./Verona) produced two of the top performances in the history of Goucher's indoor track and field program at the Susquehanna Open today.

One was in the 60-meter hurdles, where she placed 13th overall with her time of 10.31 seconds; the other was in the high jump, where a distance of 1.42 meters (4'7 3/4") put her in 15th place. Her time in the 60 hurdles is tied for seventh place on the program's all-time list and her distance in the high jump shares the No. 6 spot in program history.

Kamillah Smith (Northampton, Mass./Amherst Regional) ran the seventh-fastest 60-meter dash in program history today, taking ninth place when she was clocked at 8.14 seconds during the preliminaries.

There was no team scoring at today's meet.

The Gophers will return here one week from today for the 2016 Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
