Gophers Take Second Set, Bow to Giants in Four

Set scores were 21-25, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25.
In the second set, 12 of the 18 offensive points head coach Kelli Wilkinson's squad earned were from kills. Michelle Tweedie (Accra, Ghana/Lincoln Community School) accounted for half of that total .
Kelly Budge (Harrington Park, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) supplied the Gophers (7-15) with five kills in the final set, hiking her team-high total for the match to 14.
Hannah Zuchowski turned in a 16-kill, 14-dig performance for the victorious Giants (14-3), who are tied with Immaculata for second place in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Up next for Goucher is a non-conference match against Albright in Reading, Pa. on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
