Bio

Kate Lindholm was named the 12th head coach in the NCAA era of the Goucher women's volleyball program on April 30, 2024 and officially begins her duties in early June.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Goucher volleyball program," said Lindholm at the time of her hiring. "It is an honor to both lead and learn from these talented and motivated athletes. This is a special school, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to develop a competitive and successful program at Goucher."

"Coach Lindholm impressed from the beginning of the search process and demonstrated that she has the skillset and motivation to provide a fantastic student-athlete experience while advancing our volleyball program.," said Director of Athletics Dr. Andrew Wu when Lindholm was hired.  "We're lucky to have Kate joining our team and I'm excited for our volleyball athletes to begin working with her."

Lindholm, a native of Enola, Pennsylvania, spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach at Lackawanna College while also working in the College's admissions office, most recently as the Assistant Director of Enrollment for Specialty Populations.  In her lone season on the bench, the Falcons won the NJCAA Region XIX championship for the first time since 2006 and posted their best won-loss record since 2018.

A graduate of Bloomsburg University, Lindholm was a graduate assistant for the Huskies' volleyball program following her playing career.  During her tenure on staff, Bloomsburg qualified for the PSAC tournament for the first time in the fall of 2021.  Lindholm was a member of BU's first two women's volleyball teams in 2018 and 2019 and was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and received the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

Lindholm has extensive coaching experience in the club volleyball ranks, spending time with the WiseTown Volleyball Club in Berwick, Pennsylvania, before jumping to the NorthEast United Volleyball Academy in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania last season, where she coached the U16 girls team. Lindholm is also a Gold Medal Squared camp coach (2020-present) and has been a volunteer board member for USA Deaf Volleyball since last year.

Lindholm earned her bachelor's from Bloomsburg in American Sign Language/English Interpreting and went on to earn her master's from BU in Educational Leadership: College Student Affairs.
