All Five Riders Return from Holiday Classic with Ribbons
LONG VALLEY, N.J. — With all five of its riders earning at least one ribbon, Goucher earned 18 points and finished in a tie for 10th place today at the IHSA Holiday Tournament of Champions conducted at the USET Building.

While there were no blue ribbons won by Goucher riders today, junior Joey Fink (Baltimore, Md./The Park School) was the recipient of a red one as he was awarded second place in open equitation over fences.
Alison Radgowski (Northport, N.Y./Northport) represented Goucher in the intermediate division and placed sixth in the flat phases and eighth in the jumping phase. Anna Carmichael (Colorado Springs, Colo./William J. Palmer) took fourth place in novice fences and sixth in novice flat.
Sarah Lummis (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Kaili Janette (New Haven, Conn./Hebrew High School of New England) both picked up yellow ribbons for third-place performances. For Lummis, it was in advanced walk-trot-canter equitation; for Janette, it was walk-trot.
The event drew riders from 23 of the nation's top intercollegiate equestrian programs. First place went to one of the two teams entered by Mt. Holyoke with a score of 32 points. The reserve champion was one of the two teams entered by Centenary with a score of 30 points. Randolph placed third with 25 points.
The team Goucher tied for 10th place was Virginia Tech.
The Tournament of Champions is a non-sanctioned exhibition series structed like an IHSA riding show.
