Gophers Compete at Blue Jay Tune Up

Elizabethtown, Pa. - The Gophers compeated in the Blue Jay Tune Up at Elizabethtown College. Tamryn Thornton-Fillyaw took third place in the women's 800 meter. She placed third with a personal record time of 2:23.90. She was joined by Imaya Edwards and Daya Sathyaraj who both ran personal bests in the 800 meter. In the men's 800 meter Jair Smith placed sixth and Bradford Ferrante also snagged a sixth place finish in the men's long jump. In the women's hammer throw Ja'Kiya Allen threw a personal best and Ava Cox threw her season best this weekend. Another personal best was added to the Gopher tally by Nehemiah Covington in the men's hammer throw. He also placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.10 meters.
