Bio

Clemons, a native of Baltimore and graduate of Loch Raven HS, arrived as a graduate transfer from Catawba College with one year of volleyball and two years of basketball eligibility.  In her lone season of volleyball for the Gophers in 1993 she led Goucher to a 44-4 record and a Capital Athletic Conference title while earning CAC First Team All-Conference honors.  She is one of just two Gopher volleyball players to earn First Team All-Conference accolades.  In 48 matches she totaled 356 kills and 169 blocks while hitting .414.  She holds single-season program records for blocks and hitting percentage in a season.  Clemons ranked No 3 in Division III in hitting percentage and No. 8 in blocks that season.

In two seasons in basketball CJ played in 50 career games, starting 45, and averaged 10.9 points and 13.4 rebounds per game.  She led the CAC in rebounding both seasons and ranked third nationally in 1993-94.  A Second Team All-CAC performer in 1994, the Gophers posted a record of 30-20 over Summers' two seasons.  Clemons holds the program record for rebounding average and ranks fifth in the program record books with 672 rebounds
