Bio

Dr. Eva Martinez was named Goucher's head athletic trainer in late August, 2022.

Prior to her arrival at Goucher, Martinez spent nearly four years at Stevenson University, serving as an associate athletic trainer working with the Mustangs' football, men's basketball and men's volleyball teams.  Prior to Stevenson, she worked with Pivot Physical Therapy as the head athletic trainer at Mount Hebron High School while also working in outpatient rehabilitation.

While an athletic training student at Shenandoah University, Martinez completed athletic training internships with Virginia Commonwealth University, Georgetown University, Centreville (Va.) High School and the University of Richmond.

A 2013 graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration and specialization in health promotion and fitness leadership, Martinez earned her Master's in athletic training from Shenandoah in 2016.  Martinez completed her doctorate in athletic training at Florida International University in December, 2020.
