Wilhelm Seventh in Novice Flat, Jackson Fourth in Cacchione Cup Entering Final Day
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Goucher College equestrian junior Kristen Wilhelm (Columbia, Md./Liberty) placed seventh in Team Novice Flat on day two of the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) Nationals at Alltech Arena on Friday. It marked Goucher's second rider earning points through the first two days of competition.
Senior Cole Jackson (Denver, Colo./East) sits fourth in the Cacchione Cup standings for High Point Rider of the year through the Fences and Flat portion of the competition. Jackson will compete in Saturday's workoff to determine this year's Cacchione Cup winner.
Makaylin Shoop (Davidsonville, Md./South River) earned Honorable Mention in Team Intermediate Fences, while Morgan Kingsbury (Wentworth, N.H./Plymouth Regional) was Honorable Mention in Team Intro Flat.
In addition to competing in Saturday's workoff, Jackson will also close out the team competition for Goucher on Saturday competing in Open Fences and Open Flat.
