Gophers Take First at Home Show Saturday
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College equestrian team took High Point Team honors for the second straight IHSA show to open the season as the Gophers held their first home show of the season on Saturday. American University finished as the Reserve High Point Team.
Kellen Sullivan took High Point Rider honors for the second straight week. Sullivan took first in Open Flat and second in Open Fences. Kendall Ball of Towson University placed as the Reserve High Point Rider.
Goucher had four other first place finishes on Saturday. Jacob Connell was first in Limit Flat and also qualified for IHSA Regionals. Hayley Anderson finished first in Intermediate Flat, while Jocelyn Harris was first in Limit Flat. Sarah Weiner took home first in Novice Flat.
Cordelia Edwards placed third in Intermediate Fences, with Christina Mlynarski placing second in Limit Fences.
Goucher equestrian returns to action next Sunday when it competes in the American University IHSA show at Spring Hill Stables in Burtonsville, Md.
