Five from Field Hockey Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Five members of the Goucher College field hockey team were recognized as Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Thursday. Over 500 student-athletes at Division III institutions were recognized.
The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year.
The five Gophers who were honored were seniors Emily Postlethwait (Herndon, Va./Herndon), Jaime Roche (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Technical) and Hannah Washburn (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford-Mendon) and freshmen Daryn Carter (Dover, Pa./Dover Area) and Zoe Mikles (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford).
Goucher's five honorees were the second-most in the Landmark Conference, trailing only Juniata College which had seven student-athletes honored.
