Top-Seeded Blazers End Gophers' Season
FREDERICK, MD — Goucher was knocked out of the Capital Athletic Conference championship tournament in the quarterfinals for only the fifth time in the school's 16-year affiliation with the league when the Gophers bowed to top-seeded Hood, 82-72, tonight.

Seahawks Pin 14-Point Setback on Gophers
ST. MARY'S CITY, MD — Goucher did a better job defensively on the 1-2 scoring punch of Tyson Lesesne and Alex Irmer from St. Mary's (Md.) in the second half, but the 34 points the pair combined for in the opening period got the Seahawks off on the right foot in what turned out to be an 87-73 Capital Athletic Conference victory over the Gophers.

CAC-Leading Blazers Pull Out 78-74 Victory
TOWSON, MD — When Pierre Jones (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall College) converted the free throw to complete a three-point play with 3:05 remaining, Goucher was locked in a 71-71 tie with Hood. The Gophers' next four possessions, however, produced only one point, opening the door for the Blazers, who entered the contest in first place in the Capital Athletic Conference, to pull out a 78-74 victory.
