Landmark Announces Winter All-Academic Team

MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2007-08 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher overcame a 16-point deficit in the second half tonight to take a one-point lead over Randolph with more than eight minutes remaining. But the WildCats responded with a run of 10 unanswered points which helped them secure a 74-65 non-conference victory over the Gophers.

Greyhounds Depart SRC with 78-71 Victory

TOWSON, Md. - Two free throws by Pat Bailey (Rockville, MD/Magruder) with 2:02 left to play allowed Goucher to pull into a 68-68 tie with Moravian in the Sports & Recreation Center tonight, but that deadlock lasted all of three seconds. The Greyhounds regained the lead when Eric Weaver converted two free throws with 1:59 showing on the clock and went on to record a 78-71 Landmark Conference victory over the Gophers.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. - A dunk by junior forward Amir Hakim (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore City College) with :44 remaining put Goucher ahead by a point and junior guard Darrin Boswell II (Philadelphia, PA/Joppatowne) sealed the outcome by making four free throws in the closing seconds today as the Gophers earned a 60-57 Landmark Conference victory over Merchant Marine.

But the Gophers would score only two more points the rest of the way tonight, allowing the Rangers to rally for a 61-54 Landmark Conference victory.
