BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Goucher was down to Moravian by only seven points at halftime of today's Landmark Conference tilt, but the Greyhounds made it nearly impossible for the Gophers to mount any sort of comeback with some spectacular shooting in the second half.
Over the final 20:00, the Greyhounds (12-4, 3-2 Landmark) were 19-for-25 from the field (.760), including 5-for-6 from three-point territory (.833), and 13-of-15 at the free-throw line (.867) as they recorded a 96-82 triumph over head coach Leonard Trevino's squad.

For Goucher, freshman forward Marcus Cotton (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) established a new career-high for points for the second time in less than 24 hours. After knocking down 17 points the night before in a 72-60 loss to Scranton, Cotton was 10-for-17 from the field and 5-of-6 at the free-throw stripe in a 25-point effort against the Greyhounds.
Pat Bailey (Rockville, MD/Magruder) supplied the Gophers (4-11, 2-3 Landmark) with 15 points.
Goucher took its first lead in today's game when Bailey landed a shot from three-point range midway through the first half, putting the Gophers ahead 14-13. Moravian's biggest lead of the opening period was the 39-30 advantage a three-point basket by Miller gave the Greyhoounds with 1:31 remaining before halftime.
The Gophers trailed by seven at the break, 40-33.
The Greyhounds made their first six shots from the field to start the second half, including three-pointers by Miller and Eric Whitman. They built their lead up to as many as 24 points on a basket by Miller than made the score 81-57 with 8:11 left to play.
