Landmark Reveals 2008-09 Winter All-Academic Team
MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2009 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

Gophers Return Home without Victory This Time
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Goucher was victorious the last two times it played Catholic in the DuFour Center, but the Cardinals made certain that the streak didn't reach three games as they prevailed on their home court tonight, 73-48, to bring the Gophers' 2008-09 season to a close.

TOWSON, Md. – Two of the four teams that began the weekend tied for first place in the Landmark Conference had already gone down and Goucher had a chance to knock off one more. But before a Sports & Recreation Center crowd of 570 tonight, Merchant Marine was able to assemble an eight-point lead by halftime and then hang on to defeat the Gophers, 76-70.

TOWSON, Md. – After a lay-up by James Black (Baltimore, Md./New Town) allowed Goucher to pull even with Scranton at 50-50 with 6:43 left to play tonight, the Gophers proceeded to miss their next seven shots from the field, opening the door for the Royals to first regain and then pad their lead and eventually depart the Sports & Recreation Center with a 63-57 Landmark Conference victory.
