Reward for Averaging 12.4 points, Becoming All-Time Leader in Blocks
MADISON, N.J. — Sophomore post player Trae Lindsay (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) has been chosen to represent Goucher on the 2010-11 All-Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Team.
As revealed today, the team includes 12 student-athletes, with at least one from seven of the eight institutions who are members of the Landmark Conference. Position-by-position voting was done by the head coaches and the balloting produced six first-team selections and an equal number of players on a second unit.
Lindsay, who appeared in all 21 games this season and was in the starting line-up for all but one of them, was placed on the All-Landmark second team. He was the Gophers' leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest. In addition, he broke Goucher men's basketball program's single-season and career records for blocked shots by rejecting 50 shots, enough to raise his total after just two seasons to 79.
