TOWSON, Md. — After Goucher's Marcus Cotton (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) answered a 3-point basket by Reed Buck from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy by knocking down a long-distance shot of his own, creating a 3-3 tie just 56 seconds into tonight's Landmark Conference game, the Gophers went without another field goal for more than seven minutes.

Greyhounds Pull Away from Gophers in Second Half
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Although Goucher never held the lead during the second half of this afternoon's Landmark Conference game against Moravian, the Gophers appeared to be within striking distance with eight minutes left to play and down by just 12 points. But that's precisely when the Greyhounds went on a 14-2 run that provided them with a commanding 24-point advantage and resulted in a 91-68 victory.

TOWSON, Md. — Alex Noble (Clinton, Md./Surrattsville) became the first player in the history of Goucher's men's basketball team to score 40 points in a game when he registered a double-double of 40 points and 10 rebounds in leading the Gophers past Rutgers-Camden, 94-66, tonight in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.
