The senior forward accounted for 11 of the points during a game-ending 14-4 run by Goucher that knocked an 11-point deficit with six minutes remaining down to a single point.
Cotton played a total of 33 minutes in the game and went 10-for-17 from the field, including 2-for-4 on 3-point attempts. He was 5-of-8 at the free-throw line and was credited with a game-high 11 rebounds.
His previous career-high for points was 25 against Moravian on Jan. 19, 2008.
Now in its fifth year, the PrestoSports/Pride of Maryland Player of the Week award was created by PrestoSports, a leading provider of athletic content management software to colleges, conference offices and high schools used for designing, building and maintaining official athletic web sites, to recognize the best athletic achievements in the state of Maryland. The award is granted on a weekly basis to a player from one of the nine Division III men's basketball programs in Maryland. Each school has the ability to nominate one player based upon their on-court accomplishments over the previous seven days, with voting done by an esteemed panel of media members.
