Gophers Dropped by Drew in Season Finale

MADISON, N.J. - Cam Isaacs (Randallstown, Md./Randallstown) and Josh Lichti (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg) each led Goucher College with 13 points, but the Gophers fell 94-61 to Drew University in Landmark Conference men's basketball Saturday afternoon in the Gophers' season finale.
- Drew (17-8, 11-3 Landmark) scored the game's first six points and held a 13-5 lead just over five minutes in.
- Down 18-9, Goucher (3-21, 0-14) scored five straight to pull within 18-14 at the 10:22 mark following a Tevin Venson (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) basket.
- An 11-4 spurt put the Rangers up 29-18 with eight minutes left before intermission.
- After an Isaacs three with 4:44 left that made it 35-24, another 11-4 run extended the Drew lead to 18, 46-28, with 1:32 on the clock.
- Two Nieko White (Churchton, Md./Southern) free throws pulled Goucher within 16, 46-30, at halftime.
- Drew gradually pulled away in the opening minutes of the second half, opening a 62-39 lead with 15:16 on the clock.
- After a White three-point play made it 64-42 with just under 15 minutes left, the Rangers salted the game away with a 15-2 run to build a 79-44 lead with just over 11 minutes to play.
- Isaacs finished 6-15 from the floor and grabbed four rebounds in his final collegiate game. He reached double figures in the scoring column for the eighth time in 10 games.
- Lichti was 6-10 from the floor and recorded five rebounds.
- White added nine points, five rebounds and three assists off the bench.
- Goucher shot 43.5% overall and was 3-14 behind the arc and 4-5 at the free throw line.
- Drew, which outrebounded Goucher 42-32, shot 50% overall, 13-33 from three and 9-14 at the stripe.
