Josh Lichti Named CSC Academic All-District
CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT RELEASE
TOWSON, Md. - Senior Josh Lichti (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg) of the Goucher College men's basketball team been selected to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team for 2022-23.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with at least one full academic year at their current institution. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or important reserve appearing in at least 50% of a team's contests.
Lichti, a Psychology major, was the lone player to start all 24 contests for the Gophers in 2022-23. He averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds nd 1.5 steals per contest this past season. Over his career, Lichti started all 73 games that Goucher played, averaging 8.1 points. 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
Lichti is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll and was named to the NABC Honors Court for academic achievement as a junior.
