Can Dalli Claims Landmark Men's Basketball Weekly Honors
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's basketball junior guard Can Dalli was named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon after his role in the Gophers' 66-55 win over Notre Dame (Md.) Saturday afternoon.
In the win over the Gators, Goucher's lone game of the week, Dalli poured in a career-best 24 points, going 9-13 from the floor and 5-9 from three-point land. Playing 19 minutes off the bench, Dalli also registered four steals and had a pair of rebounds.
In his first season at Goucher after transferring from Randolph-Macon, Dalli has played in six games, starting three and averaged 12 points per game while knocking down 16 three-pointers.
Goucher's men's basketball Landmark weekly honor is the program's first since Alex Noble was named Player of the Week on January 13, 2014.
Winners of two straight and 3-5 overall, Goucher returns to action Tuesday afternoon, facing Delaware Valley in a 3 pm non-conference road game.
