Gophers Tie For Top Spot at Landmark Conference Preview, Edged in Tiebreaker
PIKESVILLE, Md. - The Goucher College men's golf team tied for the top spot at Saturday's Landmark Conference Preview at Woodholme Country Club Saturday with a score of 331. The Gophers tied with Scranton, with the Royals prevailing on the second tiebreaker, the lowest individual score of the tournament.
Goucher will host the 2022 Landmark Conference Men's Golf Championship at Woodholme, a par-73, 6,969-yard layout, on April 15-16, 2022.
The Gophers took down spots 4-6 in the final rundown. Khai Buttner (Boston, Mass. / Boston Latin School) placed fourth with a score of 81, while Tim Winter (Howey In The Hills, Groningen / Harens Lyceum) was fifth with an 82. Nick Fisher (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) was in a sixth-place tie at 83.
Jose Maria Gallegos (Ahome, Mexico / Montverde Academy) carded an 85 to finish tied for 11th. Matias Agrendo Lovo (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico / Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola) posted an 87 to tie for 17th.
The Landmark Conference Preview closed out the fall portion of Goucher's schedule.
