Gophers Shoot Season-Low 312 at Cardinal Classic
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Goucher College men's golf team posted a season-low score of 312 to finish in a tie for 4th place out of 12 teams at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic University at Black Rock Golf Club on Saturday. Originally scheduled to be a two-day event, Sunday's second round has been cancelled due to weather concerns.
Junior Miguel Reider (Mexico City, Mexico/Tecnológico de Monterrey) shot a season-low one-over 73 to finish two shots back of medalist Kaden Kinard of Catholic. Khai Buttner (Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) shot a 77 to place tied for 11th.
Nick Fisher (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) and Tim Winter (Howey In The Hills, Groningen / Harens Lyceum) each shot an 81, with Jose Maria Gallegos (Ahome, Mexico / Montverde Academy) carding an 85.
Goucher returns to action next Saturday and Sunday when it competes in the Kiln Intercollegiate at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, N.J.
