Gophers Place Eighth at The Ruckus
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Goucher College men's golf team finished eighth out of 12 schools at The Ruckus hosted at Williamsburg National Golf Club Saturday and Sunday. The Gophers shot 321 on Saturday and sat ninth before moving up one spot after a 322 on Sunday.
Graduate student Evan Yue (Beijing, China/IMG Academy) led Goucher, finishing tied for 17th out of 63 players with a two-day total of 157. Yue shot an opening-round 80 and went three strokes lower at 77 on Sunday.
Khai Buttner (Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) placed tied for 23rd with a two-day score of 159, including an opening-round 77 on Saturday. Miguel Reider (Mexico City, Mexico / Tecnológico de Monterrey) finished at 164, while Andy Garcia (A Coruña Galicia, Spain / Colegio Plurilingüe Compañia de María) and Gidi Katz (White Plains, N.Y. / Leffell School) each finished at 165 for the weekend.
Goucher returns to action March 25-26 at the Cardinal Spring Classic at Black Rock Golf Club in Hagerstown, Md.
